Oh, come now, SOMEONE had to say it.
Anyway, per Variety, Summit is considering it, but the conundrum is both money (See? Told ya!) and the possibility of seeing if Chris Weitz would be willing to come back and shoot back-to-back movies.
Look, here's my beef: I love these totally addictive movies as much as the next person, but where would one movie end and the other begin? There's no natural point for this to occur. Probably because Stephenie Meyer wrote it in a way that...OK, I was totally going to say "in a way that sucked," but I'll be nice and just say in a way that didn't allow for two movies. Apparently it's not just an urban legend and I can be nice...
I vote no. Which I'm sure Summit will give great consideration...

I vote please God NO! Not a big fan of this book. I can't see how they can even make it into one movie let alone two. I also fear judging by the horrible new moon reviews that RK will take a major beating for this one so let's just make it as painless as possible for them and only make one more movie.
ReplyDeleteI loved the book, I wish SM wrote it better and cut out book 2, but I think 2 movies would be amazing, just the thought of Jacob and Nessie is worth the price of seeing this film, and lets not forget all the EB sex on the floor, in the blue room, the white room, in front of the fireplace, and also they could do an epic battle at the end, I really want this movie in my life, and lets not forget Bella being a vampire, and kickass as well
ReplyDeletei think for sure it should be two movies! right now, if its not i might not see it. it would be to disappointing to see it all in a 2hr movie. bring on the two movies!
