Will "Breaking Dawn" Be Two Movies?
Oh, come now, SOMEONE had to say it.
Anyway, per Variety, Summit is considering it, but the conundrum is both money (See? Told ya!) and the possibility of seeing if Chris Weitz would be willing to come back and shoot back-to-back movies.
Look, here's my beef: I love these totally addictive movies as much as the next person, but where would one movie end and the other begin? There's no natural point for this to occur. Probably because Stephenie Meyer wrote it in a way that...OK, I was totally going to say "in a way that sucked," but I'll be nice and just say in a way that didn't allow for two movies. Apparently it's not just an urban legend and I can be nice...
I vote no. Which I'm sure Summit will give great consideration...

David Slade Tweets About "Eclipse"

"New Moon"'s been out for 10 whole days and is blowing up the box office, so, really, time to move on and get focused on "Eclipse," right? Right? Maybe? Well, you've got no choice, as it's already been shot and David Slade is tweeting about how post-production is going.
If I may: I have two words for Mr. Slade. And these may be the single two most important words he will ever here--at least from me. Those two words? Leg hitch.
Seriously. Do not underestimate the significance of that scene lest you find thousands of Twi-hards storming your hypothetical castle. And, really, we can be vicious--brutal even. Studio executives have nothing on us. Just food for thought.
But, you know--no pressure or anything.
"New Moon" #1 For Second Week In A Row

In only ten days of release, "New Moon" has already grossed a worldwide total of $473M dollars. Compare that to the final total for "Twilight" which was $385M and, yeah, I think we can safely say that the "Twi-craze" has not only grown exponentially in the past year, but it's not going anywhere anytime soon. Sorry, Twi-haters (hey, if we get stuck with "Twi-hards" I'm christening the others with as lame a name. Plus, you know, "the others" was already taken by "Lost" and I make it a policy to try and not piss off J.J. Abrams just on general principle, so...), but time to face the facts. You might want to start building your bomb shelter to be ready for next June when "Eclipse" hits theaters. Don't say you weren't warned.
But, back to "New Moon"--and keeping in mind this weekend's figures are estimates and final figures, released tomorrow, might show a slight change:
- #1 for the second weekend in a row in the U.S. with $42.5M, for a domestic total of $230.6M.
-Total international box office of $243M--which is already $52M more than the total take of the first film AND it hasn't even opened in all territories yet.
- Currently the 6th highest grossing movie in the U.S. for 2009 and 13th worldwide.
Conclusion: Resistance is futile. Just give in and go see it. I even got my mother there the other day (she gave it thumbs up even if she "doesn't get all the fuss over Robert Pattinson." I see my work there isn't quite done).
Welcome!
Welcome to The Robert and Kristen Coalition, a site dedicated to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart! Our goal is to provide information about them and their careers, as well as any pertinent details about them as individuals and as a couple. There are countless Twilight fansites online but few open communities that offer information and commentary about Robert and Kristen equally.
We are fans of both Robert and Kristen. While we welcome comments, we will have little tolerance for overt negativity toward them. Which doesn't mean you can't say anything negative--we're not that militant. However, if all you want to do is rag on Rob and/or Kristen, call us crazy (seriously, do it--it's fine, we don't care), there are probably a hundred other places where you can do that (maybe more). Think of this as a sort of Disneyland for Robsten (er, though we hate the name Robsten. It's so 2002/Bennifer 1.0--and, trust us, you really don't want to get us started on that, as what would commence is lots of name calling and "she ruined Ben Affleck for us" wailing--isn't RK sufficient enough?): sure, you can say "I don't particularly like that ride, but it's still the happiest place on earth...dammit."
